Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has threatened to lead Machakos residents to oust Speaker Anne Kiusya.
Speaking during a Sunday service at AIC Baraka, Mumbuni North Ward, the Governor said that she fought for the Speaker to get Wiper backing in 2022 and convinced Kalonzo despite the party having other candidates.
“I supported the speaker and mobilized support for her to get that position. In Wiper, we had other candidates, and I pleaded with Kalonzo to give her the job, and he agreed,” Wavinya said.
“Right now, she is being used to interfere with the County of Machakos, that Speaker as Machakos people, we are going to remove her from that Assembly.”She cautioned.
This comes just days after the Speaker announced ditching the Wiper party and announced that she will work with the Government.
The Governor at the Church service also asked President Ruto to keep off Machakos County affairs.
