Mule rejects proposed Salary increment to MPs by SRC

Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has condemned the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) over salary increments for state officers.

Addressing the press, Mule stated the salary increment would burden Kenyans. He further added the government wage bill was very high.

“Being a public servant and a real Kenyan whose heart is purely for the people of Kenya, I here sign my acknowledgment of not being part of the salary increment made by SRC ” said Mule.

Mule said the MPs’ salaries should be reduced and be channeled to pay doctors and junior secondary teachers.

The Member of parliament further stated the members didn’t sign any agreement with SRC to increase their salaries.

“Salary increment is just politics. The increment is only fourteen thousand ” revealed Mule.
