MP Kimilu: Wiper will lead from the opposition

Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu has firmly stated that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his allies will remain in opposition, despite recent upheavals within the Azimio coalition.

According to Kimilu, they have no intention of accepting any offers to join President William Ruto’s government.

Speaking to his constituents, Kimilu emphasized that the opposition remains robust, even as some ODM members have defected to join the government in various ministries.

He criticized President Ruto for his controversial cabinet selections, arguing that they were made in defiance of the people’s expectations.

“Ruto’s government has failed Kenyans, regardless of Raila Odinga’s attempts to ‘sanitize’ it. As the Wiper party, we refuse to betray the people by aligning with a government that has brought so much hardship,” Kimilu declared.

He underscored the opposition’s readiness to hold the government accountable, ensuring that Kenyans receive the services they deserve. However, he did not shy away from condemning Ruto’s decision to swiftly swear in ministers without considering the voice of the people.

Kimilu also reassured supporters that Kalonzo’s dream of leading the nation is far from over. He asserted that for Kalonzo to realize this ambition, he must remain unassociated with a government that, in his words, bears “the marks of impunity.”

“We will not aid Ruto in his failure to lead this country properly,” Kimilu concluded.
