Machakos County Secondary School Term 1 Games were held from 5th to 8th March 2025 at Machakos school. The games brought together schools from across the County, displayed exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
In a thrilling series of matches, schools battled for supremacy in different categories including basketball, handball, rugby 15s, and hockey. After intense competition, the following teams emerged victorious:
In Basketball boys category Lukenya Boys emerged the overall winners with girls from Muthetheni Mixed school taking the trophy home for the girls category.
Matuu Day dominated the handball boys category with the dominating queens, Kwanthanze dominating once again in the girls category.
In Rugby 15s ,Muvuti secondary school proved there prowness in both the boys category and girls by taking trophies from both.
While in Hockey, Katangi Boys triumphed in the boys, with AIC Nyayo in the girls category.
With their victories, these schools will now carry the Machakos County flag to the regional games from March 12th to 16th at Chuka Boys, Tharaka Nithi County, where they will compete against the best teams from other counties. The athletes, coaches, and supporters are optimistic about their chances of making it to the national stage.
