Two Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) Centers were officially inaugurated at Kalaani Primary School in Yatta. The newly constructed classrooms were funded by the Usaidizi Foundation.
Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti, accompanied by her Deputy, Mr. Francis Mwangangi commissioned the centres.
Governor Wavinya extended her appreciation to the Usaidizi Foundation, led by Antony Achola, for their generous contribution. She extended an invitation to more well-wishers to collaborate with the County Government in enhancing educational infrastructure across the County.
“My government deeply appreciates the support from the Usaidizi Foundation and encourages other development partners to join hands with us in advancing education in our County,” stated Governor Ndeti.
She reaffirmed her administration’s dedication to ensuring quality education is accessible to all residents. Governor Wavinya announced plans for the largest bursary allocation in the County’s history. The disbursement is set to begin on Friday 16, 2024 in Matungulu Sub-county.
This financial year, the County Government has earmarked Sh120 million for the bursary kitty, marking a notable increase from the Sh80 million disbursed the previous year.
