Journalist and Benga Nation President DJ Biado has warned the Kamba community sternly, cautioning them against falling prey to political manipulation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a Facebook post, the popular DJ called on artists, journalists, and youth to be wary of politicians’ tactics, which he described as misleading and opportunistic.
According to Biado, politicians are already laying the groundwork for their 2027 campaigns, with many pretending to care for the community by answering calls and engaging with influential figures. He highlighted the growing trend of politicians aligning themselves with individuals with large social media followings to sway public opinion.
“Right now, they know how to engage the youth, Don’t be enticed by the handouts; you’ll pay for them handsomely in the future.” Biado cautioned.
Biado also urged his community to take a united stand and resist the temptation of short-term rewards. Using a vivid analogy, he compared aimless division to stomach gas that leads to waste, emphasizing the importance of standing firm for meaningful progress.
He encouraged the Kamba community to remain vigilant, even if resources or knowledge seem limited, and to prioritize collective strength over individual gain. His post serves as a rallying call for unity and awareness as the political climate heats up in Kenya.
