Angry Machakos Deputy Governor takes on Raila

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has criticized ODM leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of attempting to hold dual political positions.

Speaking at AIC Kanduma in Matungulu, Machakos County, Mwangangi said Raila should choose between being in the opposition or aligning with the government instead of oscillating between the two.

He said that since Raila began defending the government’s controversial policies was a clear indication of betrayal to Kenyans.

“When you defended the Adani deal and now SHA which Kenyans have been crying about is a clear show that you don’t have the people’s interest at heart,” Mwangangi said.

Mwangangi observed that when Raila chose to sign the agreement for the broad-based government, he did that for his own gain, not that of Kenyans.

“Stop lying to Kenyans that you’re avoiding what happened in 1982, you went there for your own stomach, not for any interest of the Kenyans, “The Deputy Governor went on.

He said that now that Raila is in the government, it is crucial for Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed to resign as leader of the minority in the Assembly, as it was inappropriate for his allies to continue leading the opposition.
