Matungulu MP takes on Governor Wavinya, calls for her impeachment

Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has taken on Governor Wavinya’s administration over what he describes as poor leadership in Machakos County.

Speaking in his constituency, the legislator criticized the county government for failing to deliver development to some of his constituents in Donyo Sabuk despite them paying taxes like everyone else.

“We cannot keep electing leaders who only sit and fill their bellies without thinking about the people,” Mule stated.

The MP also took a firm stand against plans to impeach Machakos County Assembly Speaker Ann Kiusya, warning that those behind the move would face impeachment themselves.

When the speaker demands the rights of the people, you start planning to impeach her. We will impeach you instead, not the speaker,” Mule said, hinting at backing Governor Wavinya’s impeachment.

In addition to county politics, Mule issued a strong warning to leaders who disrespect Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

I want to announce here—any leader in Ukambani and Kenya who does not respect Kalonzo Musyoka when he gives direction, I will deal with them, he declared.

The MP also vowed to ensure that residents of Donyo Sabuk are treated fairly, asserting their right to live, do business, and receive county services.

“We are not going to live in this country like squatters. The people of Donyo have the right to live in Machakos County, do business, pay taxes, and get the respect they deserve,” he added.

As part of his efforts to improve local conditions, Mule instructed the chairman of the Market to ensure that it is cleaned using the money they will collect from local traders.
