Following the release of 2025 KCSE Results by Education CS Julius Migosi, we take a look at the top schools in Makueni County according to the provisional results.
At the top of the county rankings is Mbooni Girls High School, which led the way with an excellent mean score of 9.60, maintaining its long-standing status as one of the region’s academic giants.
Little known Thomeandu Boys High School followed with a strong mean score of 8.5922, while Makueni Boys High School secured third position after recording 8.343. Girls’ institutions continued to shine, with Emmanuel Springs Girls High School posting a solid mean score of 8.09, closely followed by Makueni Girls High School at 8.0703.

Faith-based and mixed institutions also made notable strides. AIC Mwaani-Īlīma Secondary School achieved a mean score of 7.876, while Kaumoni Secondary School recorded 7.70. Mwaani Girls High School was not far behind with a mean score of 7.691.
Other schools that posted commendable performances include Precious Blood Kilungu Secondary School (7.68), St. Peter Claver’s Secondary School (7.612), and Matiliku Boys High School, which attained a mean score of 7.5728.
Rounding off the list of top performers is Kitondo School, which registered a mean score of 7.50, reflecting the depth and consistency of performance across the county.
