Ex-Machakos Chief officer Reacts to Munyaka decision to decline Appointment

A day after Former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka declined his appointment as the Chairman of Kenya Animal Genetic Resource Centre, former Machakos Youth Chief Officer Henry Carlos Kioko has reacted to the move.

Speaking to Mauvoo News, Kioko described the response by Munyaka as retrogressive thinking and showing his lack of understanding for livestock economics.

Kioko went ahead to say that the position would have helped the community in advancing agricultural activities as well as ensuring that they get money from agriculture.

“KAGRC İs a very important department and strategic to improvement of household livestock production in Kenya. Unfortunately, Victor Munyaka has demonstrated retrogressive thinking and how unresourceful he can be. I was actually defeated in the first place by the President’s choice of Victor Munyaka to head a key department that requires a personality of self-drive and initiative. For sure Victor Munyaka has proved how useless he can be and lack of livestock economics,” said Kioko.

“We continue to champion top genetics across Eastern Africa, train farmers to appreciate genetics working with governments, international partners, and top breeders in South Africa. Actually, Victor Munyaka is unfit to lead such a vital department that can improve household livestock production in our villages. We request our President not to look far in replacing Victor Munyaka,” he added.

Victor Munyaka on Sunday declined his appointment as the Chairman of Kenya Animal Resource Centre after he was appointed by the President.
