A section of Kitui MCA’s led by Miambani MCA Alex Nganga have urged Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi to stop fighting Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu who according to the MCA’s is focused on improving the livelihoods of the Kitui people. The MCA spoke at a fundraising service in St. Mary’s Miambani Sunday.
According to the Miambani MCA, time for politics was over and it was time for development. He took issue with Mulyungi’s recent remarks to the governor and asked him to focus on over-sighting President Uhuru Kenyatta and leave the work of keeping the Governor on check to the MCA’s as they were constitutionally mandated to perform that duty. He also lauded the unity between Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.
Hon. Nganga also warned Mulyungi to forget about the Governor’s position in 2022 and that he would not even be able to retain his MP Seat in the coming elections. He also warned of consequences if the MP continued to insult Ngilu.“kiu uwetaa, nituumwonethya ndekyo, ni kitulu wikyo” translated to whatever he says he has we will prove to him that he doesn’t have.
The NARC MCA also informed locals that repair works for roads will commence once the rains reduced as many roads have been affected by the heavy rains. A section of Wiper MCA’s contacted by the Kitui reporter disagreed with the MCA’s a sign of a looming division between the NARC and wiper parties in Kitui.
