Born in Machinery, Kambu in 1984, Cheupe has been upbeat in fighting for human rights and more so women’s rights and inclusion. The no-nonsense woman has on many occasions been involved in rescuing victims of gender-based violence, rape, and defilement.

She also trained women in bookkeeping and how to access government funds such as NGAAF. Her stern nature made her be loved and feared in equal measures.

In 2020, she was taken to court and charged for allegedly insulting UDA chairman Johnson Muthama. However, Makueni member of parliament Daniel Maanzo bailed her out.
