Why I am proud of the Kikuyu community -UDA Chairman Johnson Muthama

Machakos Gubernatorial Aspirant Johnson Muthama Nduya has showered the Kikuyu Community with praises over what he termed as ushering in a new dispensation in Kenyas politics.

Speaking after meeting with Teachers drawn from Matungulu and Kangundo Subcounties Muthama said that for a while the country had suffered tribalism but that is now beginning to end.

Muthama gave an example of UDA Presidential Candidate William Ruto picking his running mate from the Kikuyu community as well as Azimio La Umoja Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga.

“I want to say from my heart that Kikuyus have ended tribalism in the country. Uhuru has tried to change it but they have refused and even God has refused,” Muthama said.

“Today Raila is not seen like a luo, he can campaign in Mount Kenya, he has even chosen Martha Karua without minding where she is from same as Ruto, tribalism has ended in this country,” he added.

On matters health Muthama noted that health should not have been devolved from the National government saying that if elected the Governor of Machakos and DP Ruto as the president he was going to ensure that within 6 months he would ensure the health sector is taken back to the National Government.

“We cannot play with health and education sectors. The other sectors we can play with but these two sectors under my watch if Ruto becomes the next president, it will not take more than 6 months before we take them back to national Government,” said Muthama.
