Wavinya’s Promise to business owners In Machakos County

Machakos Gubernatorial Candidate Wavinya Ndeti has promised to lower license and permit fees paid by business owners in Machakos County.

Speaking during a meet the people tour at Kyevaluki in Kangundo Subcounty, Wavinya promised that if elected as Governor she was going to come up with a plan that would enable all the business owners in the county to be accommodated.

The Wiper Gubernatorial candidate noted that it was bad for leaders to lie to citizens that licenses and taxes would be scrapped saying that for small traders she would build markets for them but they won’t be charged anything.

“It is good for us to harmonize and ensure that we come up with a plan of reducing the amount being paid for licenses so that our people can benefit without feeling like they are being oppressed,” she said.

“Those telling you that for a year you will not pay taxes are lying to you, it is rather we be paying in two installments and these small scale business owners we build them a market and not tax them because Covid-19 affected many of us,” she added.

Her words were echoed by her running mate former Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi who assured the residents of Kyevaluki that in their Government the needs of the residents would be given top priority.

The Wiper brigade further called on peace during the last-minute campaigns condemning heavily what was witnessed last week during the Azimio One Kenya Alliance meeting in Machakos where supporters of Nzioka Waita and Wavinya clashed.
