Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has asked President William Ruto to take his time in nominating individuals for Cabinet Secretary(CS) positions.
Speaking during a church service in St. Jude Catholic Church, Athi River Wavinya asked the president to also listen to what the people want before appointing people to fill up the positions.
“The president did a good thing to dissolve his cabinet but I request him to take his time, let him not rush to appoint Cabinet Secretaries. I want to ask him to first listen to the people and nominate the people that Kenyans want and who are ready to work for Kenyans,” said Wavinya.
The Governor further called on church leaders to maintain a firm and neutral stand and also pray for the country.
“What I would ask the church is to continue praying for us leaders and the country at large and also ensure that you maintain a firm and neutral stand.” She added.
Last week, Ruto made the first 11 appointments of Cabinet Secretaries, reappointing 6 which has resulted in uproar especially from Kenyans on social media.
