Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has praised Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, saying he would make a good president in 2027 and help Kenyans get back on track.
Speaking in West Pokot, Waititu recalled how well Kenya was doing when Kalonzo served as vice president under former President Mwai Kibaki.
He expressed confidence that people from the Mount Kenya region would support Kalonzo in the next election, helping him win the presidency.
“When Mount Kenya promises support, we follow through. Kalonzo reminds us of the government he served with Kibaki, which brought free education and worked for the people,” Waititu said.
He added, “As things stand now, I believe Kalonzo should lead Kenyans in 2027, just as he did with Kibaki. I encourage everyone to vote for someone with a proven track record, and that person is Kalonzo.”
Waititu joined other leaders in accompanying Kalonzo to a church service at the historic Dini ya Roho Mafuta Pole ya Africa sanctuary in West Pokot.
The former governor has been drumming support for Kalonzo in every region ahead of the 2027 elections.
