Waita Promises a Bruising Showdown with Wavinya in 2027

Former Machakos gubernatorial aspirant Nzioka Waita has urged residents to make informed choices in 2027, emphasizing the importance of focusing on leadership qualities over language and other factors that are not important.

Waita, who lost his bid in the last elections coming second, expressed regret that voters overlooked his candidacy, partly due to his limited fluency in the Kamba language.

Waita while speaking to the media claimed that residents are now facing stagnation and underdevelopment due to what he describes as the current administration’s lackluster performance.

“The leadership in place has let down the very people who voted for them,” Waita said.

He encouraged the youth to step up and consider running for office rather than continually following the lead of older politicians.

“Our elected leaders have failed to deliver anything of real value, Their governance is plagued by corruption and laziness. Young people, especially those in their twenties, have fifty years ahead to make a meaningful impact, and they must not allow this generation to squander their potential. Those who dismissed me for not speaking fluent Kikamba now find themselves led by someone who is both out of touch and ineffective.” He went on.

Waita called for residents to think critically about their needs adding that he will in the ballot next time.
