UDA Chairman Johnson Muthama’s Stern Warning to Matiangi And Joe Mucheru

Former Machakos Senator and UDA chairman Johnson Muthama has criticized ICT CS Joe Mucheru and Fred Matiangi over what he says is involving themselves in partisan politics.

Speaking at a burial in Kangundo town, Muthama said that it was not good for the two to take sides in politics when they should be serving Kenyans not individuals.

The Machakos Gubernatorial aspirant added that it was sad for the two Cabinet Secretaries to claim that they will protect Raila’s votes questioning who would protect Ruto’s votes.

“Severally, we have heard CS Matiangi and his colleague Joe Mucheru claiming that they will protect and guard Raila Odinga’s votes in this coming General elections when they should be serving all Kenyans equally. My question is who will protect William Ruto’s votes when the people supposed to protect his votes also are playing one-sided politics,” Muthama said.

“Matiangi and Mucheru, you only have two months and you pack your things and go home so that we can have civil servants who will serve us without personal interests,” the UDA chairman added.

On his Gubernatorial bid, Muthama revealed that DP Ruto had requested him to shelve his bid to concentrate on national politics but he told him that he wanted to go and fix Machakos and serve its people diligently without corruption.

“DP Ruto called me so that we can work together in national politics but I told him to let me go and save the people of Machakos as they had suffered a lot and I wanted to give them hope again of what they had lost during the last 10 years,” he revealed.

Other leaders present during the burial were Kangundo Central MCA Moses Mitaa, Senator Agnes Kavindu, Former Kangundo MP Kyengo Katatha, Athanas Ndolo Mutinda among others.
