‘Tutakutusi pia,’ Machakos Senator Kavindu Rebukes President Ruto Over ‘Insults’

Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu has sharply criticized President William Ruto over what she described as a pattern of insulting leaders and residents during his recently concluded tour of the Ukambani region.

In a strongly worded statement, the outspoken senator warned that leaders would not remain silent if the Head of State continued to demean them.

“Your Excellency Ruto, if you are truly the President of Kenya, stop insulting other Kenyans and leaders,” Kavindu said.

“Even if you do not respect them, do not insult them. If you insult them, we will insult you. When a father lacks respect, he begets disrespect.” She added.

Kavindu went on to question the President’s repeated assertions about his faith. “You keep saying you are born again—what God do you claim to serve?”

During his tour, President Ruto openly took aim at his political rivals, dismissing them as lacking ideas, strategy, or intellectual capacity.

“Mpango hawana, sera hawana, ajenda hawana, akili hawana—hao ni watu wa kuchagua?” Ruto told residents during one of his rallies.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti over the Weekend also told off President Ruto over his remarks during the Ukambani visit. Missed the story? check it out below;
