Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has taken Deputy President William Ruto head-on saying Ruto’s days are over and it was time he goes home or to jail.
“The days of a thief are 40. Ruto’s days have now reached. The biggest problem is leaders being involved in corruption and coming to bribe. Your days are over and it’s time to go home and not just home to jail.” Kalonzo said.
“Kenya has a lot of money and the problem is just leaders who steal resources. Do not worry. Don’t ask for Kambas to unite, they already are united. See the way they united behind Kavindu. Media, be part of this change – the true revolution.” He added.
Regarding the newly formed OKA alliance, the wiper party leader termed it as a sacred movement with a God-given responsibility to make a difference and cause a true people-driven revolution.
Kalonzo promised that if he is elected he will offer free secondary education as a way of improving lives and transforming the future of this nation. The Wiper party leader asked headteachers and principals to be considerate and stop sending children home for fees as the times were bad especially due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It is worrying to hear with this Covid children being sent home. If you have human hearts and not stone hearts. Where are you sending them to? God help us if we hear Kalonzo is president, no secondary school child will be sent home for fees. When I was the vice president of Mwai Kibaki, I gave him the idea of having and introducing free primary education, it is the same me saying free secondary education.” Kalonzo added.
“We will talk about our universities. You go to some of them and students cook in hostels. There is no decency in our public institutions. There is a lot of work to be done and we will redeem time. ” He went on.
Kalonzo spoke during the burial of Elizabeth Wanza wife to renowned businessman Kali Nzoya in Thinu.
Kalonzo was accompanied by Machakos senator Agnes Kavindu, Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, Speaker Florence Mwangangi among other leaders.
