Stop forcing Wavinya on Machakos people- Azimio Lower Eastern coordinator tells Kalonzo

Barely 5 days after Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka asked Nzioka Waita to drop his gubernatorial bid in favor of Wavinya, Azimio Lower Eastern Coordinator Mutua Katuku has hit back at Kalonzo.

Speaking at Mbilini in Kangundo Subcounty, Katuku called on Kalonzo to stop forcing Machakos people to elect a Wavinya as the Governor but rather let them elect their own choice.

“Kalonzo should stop giving a choice for Machakos, we need to elect a person of our own choice. And we cannot make a mistake of electing a person because of the party they are affiliated to but we need to elect someone who will deliver for us,” Katuku said.

Speaking at the rally Waita also reiterated that Kalonzo should keep off Machakos politics.

“I respect him as a father to me, but let him keep off Machakos politics. I will ask for votes and if the people vote for me I will serve them, if not I will try next time. I have no problem with Wiper but Why is Kalonzo forcing people to vote Wavinya? What is his agenda.” Nzioka said.

Katuku also called on UDA Chairman Johnson Muthama to ditch Kenya Kwanza Coalition and join Azimio la Umoja Coalition saying that in Azimio there are better opportunities that will benefit the community.

“Muthama come to Azimio la Umoja I know the opportunities that are in Azimio and if I was not sure I would not tell you to come to Azimio. We are being given the prime minister position and cabinet positions, Azimio has the Kamba Community at heart, “Katuku went on.
