Sonko asks Ruto to start drinking alcohol during Machakos Thanksgiving Service

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has asked President William Ruto to start taking alcohol when making difficult decisions.

Speaking during a Thanksgiving service in Kenyatta Stadium Machakos, Sonko asked the president to take some wine to help him streamline things.

“I heard the clergy saying people should forgive each other because that’s what the Bible said, you are a person who forgives. At times the revenge is good but the Bible says revenge is not good.” Sonko said.

“Mr. President even the Bible says Jesus took some wine, not much like your brother Uhuru who used to take a lot until he sees zig-zag and chasing everyone from the government. We know you are a God-fearing man but to make tough decisions take a few tots even if it is wine so that you can streamline things.” Sonko added.

Sonko also took a swipe at Ukambani leaders over division predicting Ruto might lose in Ukambani in 2027 because of disunity.

“Here in Ukambani leaders work with hate, jealousy, and division. As leaders when we are divided, Kenyans also get divided. From those days of TNA and URP, Jubilee, and now William Ruto the government has failed. Why? because here in Ukambani we have hate and disunity.” He went on.

“When someone gets National Organizing Secretary some get angry, when another gets Cabinet Secretary others get angry. Let’s not lie that Ruto will win in 2027 when we are not united. He will lose again when we are watching.”Sonko concluded.

Sonko’s remarks however did not augur well with Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti who turned to vernacular to lecture the leaders for spilling beans on their differences when there are visitors.
