Shusha Kiburi! Bisengo’s Stern advice to Kasolo

Popular Kamba artist and producer Toby Bisengo has sent a powerful message to fellow artist Stephen Kasolo, urging him to show humility and refrain from silencing critics.

This comes after Kasolo reportedly struck down a YouTube channel belonging to content creator Wamitu show, a move that effectively rendered the channel inactive and set off a heated online debate.

In a TikTok video, Bisengo called on Kasolo to set aside his pride and adopt a more forgiving approach, reminding him that his success should inspire, not discourage others.

“God has lifted you to be a leader in the Kamba music industry, not to break, but to build. Not to tear down, but to lift others up,” Bisengo said with concern.

Bisengo also revealed his own experience with Kasolo, sharing that Kasolo had once blocked him on social media after he offered constructive criticism, a move Bisengo described as “childish”.

He warned that Kasolo’s approach might isolate him from his community if he continues to strike down anyone who disagrees with him.

“By blocking and silencing everyone, you’ll end up standing alone. What will you gain from that?” Bisengo asked.

Commenting on the controversy with Wa Mitu, Bisengo expressed confusion over Kasolo’s extreme reaction, stating that he saw nothing offensive in the content created.

He urged Kasolo to embrace criticism, reminding him that even leaders are constantly scrutinized. “Criticism helps you grow. If you can’t handle it, then you still have a long way to go,” he advised.

Bisengo cautioned Kasolo that continuing down this path could lead to consequences he might regret. “The tears of those you’ve discouraged won’t be in vain. Remember, God put you in that position to build, not to break.”
