Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo has cautioned Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse against insulting Makueni Governor, Mutula Kilonzo Junior.
Mutuse allegedly insulted Governor Mutula Kilonzo jnr over the Makindu Market project questioning whether the project was being financed by Mutula’s mother.
In a statement that seemed to refer to MP Mwengi Mutuse, Maanzo alleged that Mutuse was among those who stole public resources in Machakos County during CS Alfred Mutua’s tenure and went to hide in Makueni County. He added Mutuse that he had no authority to lecture Governor Mutula Jnr on what to do in Makueni County.
“These are the same people who ruthlessly stole public money in Machakos County and came to hide in Makueni County. They think that they will come to Makueni to steal again, and we will deal with them slowly because the government is on their radar. We are going to initiate cases against them to face the law because some of them even have fake papers,” Maanzo said.
He called upon Kamba Leaders to remain united, respect each other, and avoid insulting each other in the name of politics.
“There are some people who are insulting others with their mothers, that is very wrong and we are going to deal with it because nobody is entitled to insult anybody with their parents. We can’t allow that to happen as we see, let’s learn to respect each other,” Maanzo went on.
