Just days after Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu took on DP Ruto for distributing wheelbarrows, Ruto is on Thursday 5th November set to visit Kitui and Mwingi towns.
Briefing the press Saturday in Kitui town, Ruto supporters led by Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai asked elected leaders in Kitui county to give the DP ample time to empower the jobless Kitui youths, women, and Boda Boda riders.
Mbai noted that it is wise for Kitui leaders to ensure Ruto’s rally in Kitui ends peacefully So that when Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka will tour other counties he does not get a hard time there addressing people.
“Governor with her team, we know Kitui town is yours, allow Dp Ruto to tour Kitui town. If we deny any presidential aspirant a chance to visit Kitui, other communities are watching and when Kalonzo will visit their counties he will have a hard time,” the MP Said.
MCAs Antony Ndoo of Kitui township with his colleague Ruth Kyene of Nzambani ward echoing Mbai said the DP aims to uplift the lives of jobless youths, asking other leaders to come up with their own political revolution to empower youths.
Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has been challenging DP Ruto to seek another way of developing youths other than giving wheelbarrows and hand carts.
2 week ago, Ngilu asked the Deputy president, Dr. William Ruto, to partner with governors to create jobs for youths, instead of giving them wheelbarrows and hand carts.
