Suspended Machakos County Roads and Transport CEC Rita Ndunge gave a moving tribute during the burial of her secretary Beatrice Mutinda Wambua.
Speaking during her burial at Kathome, Machakos Town Constituency Rita revealed that she had suffered the loss of someone hardworking and diligent.
Rita went ahead to pile praises on Beatrice Mutinda noting that it was hard to reshuffle her when reshuffling came.
“Let me take this opportunity to greet you. Beatrice was my secretary for a year. In the roads department we worked well with Beatrice. She was a beautiful woman, competent and professional. When I got appointed by Her Excellency the Governor Madam Wavinya Ndeti I got chance to work with Beatrice, “said Rita.
“You could not get the courage to reshuffle Beatrice, we worked with her very well together with the other County officials. ” She added.
Her appearance in public in a function attended by county employees comes after being suspended by Governor Wavinya Ndeti over claims of corruption and gross misconduct.
Several leaders from the county government of Machakos led by the Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi, CECs, Chief officers and other political leaders heaped praises on Beatrice Mutinda and how diligent she was while working noting that the county had lost a good employee.
