Wiper senatorial aspirant Agnes Kavindu has said the shifting of the Machakos wholesale market back to town from Mavivye was political adding that she believes it won’t be shifted again and traders will have a conducive environment to continue with their businesses.

Kavindu asked traders who work from the market to stay calm and work at the market amidst fears that they will be again to Mavivye.

“When I had water and electricity challenges you helped me and I will never let you down, I will fight for you once I become senator, I won’t let you down.”Kavindu urged traders.

The aspirant went on asking the locals to support BBI since it will be of importance, saying that it will help bring more money to counties and through new constituencies and help improve living standards for all.

She further dismissed Katuku’s candidature saying, “Have you ever seen a dog barking to the owner? If you all know it’s not possible it means Katuku can’t oversight Mutua.”

Kavindu further dismissed Urbanus Muthama Ngengele using her son in campaigns.

In February, while touring Machakos, Mutua instructed that the wholesale market be reverted from Mavivye back to Machakos Town. Traders had expressed concerns over accessibility to Mavivye Market and the loss of customers.
