“Me and Dr. Kituku (Health CECM) passed by KEMSA’s office before we came here and now in Kangundo level 4, there are drugs and other hospitals in the county as well. Kangundo Hospital has been given 6 Million for drugs and hospital necessities, while Matuu level 4, Machakos level 5 among others will get 35 million,” Maliti said.

Maliti further send a warning to anyone who would be caught selling drugs meant to be given to the public asking Machakos Health minister to be on the lookout.

“And let me say this, and Waziri listen to this. I hear some people wait when we stock medicine in our hospitals they go and steal and start selling it out to people, if we catch you, you will be in for a long time,” Maliti warned.

For a while, people have been complaining that Machakos hospitals had a shortage of drugs, and people were forced to dig deep in their pockets to buy drugs. Maliti blamed the National Treasury for delaying in disbursing funds to counties.
