Elected leaders led by Machakos senator Hon .Kabaka expressed their support for former Machakos senatorial candidate Carlos Kioko Henry as the next senator of Machakos. Speaking during the burial service of the late Asst.Commissioner of Police Patrick Henry Mwalili in Machakos ,Kola ward. Hon. Kabaka said Kioko was energetic, passionate and knowledgeable about progressing the people of Machakos in the senate.He further assured the people of Kalama-Kola wards that he would make sure IEBC gives them a new constituency. Patrick Henry Mwalili was also father to Maendelo Chap Chap senatorial candidate in August 8th elections.
Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua was represented by his Deputy Eng. Francis Maliti. Eng.Maliti said Kioko was a good bet for Machakos senatorial seat.He acknowledged him as a leader who always talks about development even after he lost in August elections.Other top government officials from National CDF, KPLC, Nairobi Water,County Commissioner Machakos and Central Bank also attended the final send off of the former Nakuru police boss.
Kioko speaking during the funeral called on politicians to unite to serve the electorate selflessly. He said that he would continue to serve the people of Machakos and pursuing issues that progress their life despite not being in elected office.He promised to work and unite leaders from all political divides in Machakos. The leaders mourned the former Assistant Police commissioner as a hard worker who was committed to serving the nation, a principled and a disciplined man with special love for family and the needy in the society.
