Police recover 40 tablets stolen from Myumbuni in a forest

Police from Yatta sub-county, Machakos county Saturday managed to recover 40 school tablets stolen from Myumbuni primary school from a forest in the area.

The tablets are said to have been stolen from the Kikesa based school on the 1st of October 2020. The school’s watchman was arrested and arraigned to give police the information he had on the incident.

Out of the 41 tablets, 40 were found and one is still missing.

With the closure of schools, Many schools were unable to raise funds to pay staff like watchmen, cooks as they did not receive any monies from the government since early 2020.
