Police launch probe after man’s body recovered in Katunga forest

Police in Kathiani Subcounty have launched investigations on the murder of a middle-aged man whose body was found dumped in Katunga Forest, Kathiani Subcounty of Machakos County.

Confirming the incident, Iveti Location Chief Charles Loki said that he got a report from residents that an unidentified body of a man was found dumped with a deep wound which could have been caused by a very sharp object and he informed the police who came to the scene.

“I got a report from the locals of a body that had been found dumped at Katunga Forest also known as Iveti Forest where I notified the OCS Kathiani police station. The man’s body had a very deep wound; signs that he may have been cut with a very sharp object,” Chief Loki said.

Chief Loki asked the residents to provide information that will help in the investigations and also issued a stern warning to whoever might have been involved in the death of the man to come out as he or she will be caught.

“I want to issue a stern warning to whoever was involved in this incident especially during this festive season his or her 40 days are numbered and the police will catch up with them so they should surrender as soon as possible,” he went on.
