The Energy, Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Tuesday announced new fuel prices that will be in place for the next 30 days. The prices increased to reach a historic high resulting in an uproar from a section of Kenyans.
According to EPRA, the increase is because of the lifting of stabilization fund that had cushioned price increase in the last few months.
Economists argue that the increase in fuel price is likely to raise the inflation levels which have also been at a historic high.
