Nimrod Mbai and Penina Malonza named new Kitui Kingpins

A section of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders from Kitui have announced their point man who will be leading them in political matters and giving them a political direction for them to remain united.

Addressing the press at a Nairobi hotel, they pointed out that Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai will be their leader who will provide guidance assisted by Penina Malonza.

“We have also unanimously endorsed Kitui East MP. Hon. Nimrod Mbai as our political point man in Kitui County. He is the ONLY ONE who will be guiding regarding all political matters. For Kitui County to fully enjoy the fruits of the new administration, we pledge our support to Hon. Malonza and Hon. Mbai, even as we urge all other leaders in Kitui County led by Governor Julius Malombe to cooperate with them,” they said in a statement.

They also urged the two leaders to have good relations with other Kenya Kwanza leaders to get more opportunities for the Kamba community.

The leaders thanked President Ruto for appointing Penina Malonza as Tourism, Wildlife, and Heritage CS and Ambassador Monica Juma who also hails from Kitui County. They also unanimously endorsed Penina as the chief negotiator of development affairs between Kitui County and the National Government where they said that they expect her to be at the forefront in pushing for the implementation of the Economic Blueprint in which she was a key playmaker during its formulation.

“This blueprint contains key developmental matters which are the cry of everyone in Kitui County. For instance, the creation of employment opportunities for our young men and women and availability of water across the county are enveloped therein,” they added in a statement seen by Mauvoo News.

They urged the Kitui residents to support the Kenya Kwanza government. The UDA leaders who were present while issuing the statement were Penina Malonza, Nimrod Mbai, Stephen Kilonzo (Former Senatorial Candidate), Charles Nyamai (Former Kitui Rural MP), Benedict Muasya (Former Kitui West Parliamentary candidate), Denis Mwangangi (Former Kitui South Parliamentary Candidate), Boniface Musambi (Former Kitui Central MP Candidate), and John Kisangau (Mbaki Mbaki) who is the former Kwa Vonza Ward MCA.
