Former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has taken on Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua accusing him of harboring anger and bitterness.
Speaking over the Weekend, Ngilu defended KICOTEC saying it had created lots of jobs and the National Government administration was getting the uniforms from there.
“Let me speak here in Kitui…unless counties take action to employ our young people, they end up being useless. KICOTEC is where uniforms for provincial administration are made, chiefs, DOs, etc. How much more proud can we be if all administrators are being dressed from here.” Ngilu said.
“He (Senator Kiio) cannot be a leader, he has so much anger and bitterness. I didn’t want to speak here but I can assure you I will face off with him. I am also the one who brought all these universities you are seeing around. Tell that man ‘ni yeye na mimi’.” The Ex-Governor added.
Ngilu also took credit for Kenya Water Institute, Kitui Medical Training College at Syongila questioning what Senator Kiio has ever brought to Kitui.
“I wanted to have an EPZ and the land there is owned by the county. I’m happy there are still people working at KICOTEC and the Senate will come to see…yet they are saying I own it, the people of Kitui should thank me because I also started Kenya Water Institute at Syongila, Kitui Medical Training College, Kitui Teachers college also there and I’m the one who brought it. What has this senator done apart from talking? I want him to retire so that he starts preaching, he sings so well.”She went on.
Last week, Senator Kiio and Ngilu clashed during a sitting of the Senate County Public Investments and Special Funds Committee to discuss 168M Audit queries, Ngilu accused the Senator of playing politics. Missed the story? check it out below;
