Former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has differed with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on joining the Ruto government.
Kalonzo has maintained that he was not ready to join Ruto’s government and vowed to lead the opposition while working to be president in 2027.
According to Ngilu, the community needs to get something from the government by dropping these hardline stands. Ngilu lauded Uhuru’s development record saying he left a legacy in Kitui.
“We have the issue of leaders speaking throughout and when you ask them what they have done, they have nothing to tell you. I did not work with Uhuru for long but I must thank him at least we can see something that he did Kibwezi-Mutomo-Kitui road.” Ngilu said.
“As Kamba leaders, we saw Raila accompanying Ruto in China. We might not like Ruto but he still has 3 years, let Kambas join the government, if there is something let us get it now. I’m sure if our leaders meet we can get something from the government.”She added.
The former Governor questioned what the Kamba community will be left with further cautioning local leaders from attacking each other.
We saw Raila signing with Ruto SGR agreement from Nakuru to Kisumu to Malaba. When Ruto leaves office that project will still continue helping the people of Kisumu. What will we as Kambas be left with? Leaders should stop attacking each other and give their development record. For those who didn’t achieve anything let’s speak the truth.” She posed.
