Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has answered Kalonzo Musyoka for telling her to shut up and that no Kamba sent her to campaign for Raila.

“I want to call Kalonzo to come and join the government and stop going to Mwingi and saying that ‘mimi ni muromo, yeye ndio muromo’ let him go and hunt for votes in other regions and he will know that this ‘earth is hard’ and that earth has no mercy,” Ngilu said.

Governor Ngilu stated that she had received a mandate from the Kitui electorate to unite the people towards the next government after President Kenyatta’s exit this year.

“I heard someone ask who sent me to push for Raila’s candidacy; please tell him that I speak for the vast majority of people who believe the community’s time has come to be in government,” Ngilu answered Kalonzo.

The governor went on to say that she has listened to what Kenyans want in a president and that she believes Raila is the right person for the job.

“I want to call on Kalonzo to come and support Raila because Kambas need representation at the national level because that’s where there is the big cake where the national budget is 3.6 trillion per year whereas there is none of us who sits at the table.” She added.

Governor Ngilu also cautioned the residents not to support DP Ruto because of the handouts he gives to them saying,” Ruto opposed the 2010 constitution which has brought the development close to the people, 2021 we wanted to add more money to the county governments and he said that Kenya doesn’t need BBI. If you opposed the BBI then you come giving people handouts and wheelbarrows do you want our people to depend on handouts?”

Ngilu pledged to ensure that the Kamba community is represented at the national level as she also fights to defend her gubernatorial seat.

Governor Ngilu spoke during a consultative meeting with Kitui grassroots leaders drawn from Kitui Central, Kitui Rural, Kitui West, Kitui South, and Kitui East constituencies.
