Newly elected Kitise/Kithuki MCA Sebastian Muli Munguti of the Wiper party was sworn in Monday (15th March) at Makueni County Assembly by speaker Douglas Mbilu.

Speaking after the swearing-in, Sebastian Muli thanked the people who overwhelmingly elected him saying he had a period of about one year to ensure the projects initiated by his predecessor Kevin Mutuku are completed.

“Mr. Speaker, I came to this house under the unique circumstances of the resignation of the former MCA. I urge this house to take note of these special circumstances and allocate me some more money in the coming financial year especially in Water.” The newly sworn-in MCA said.

“Unlike Honorable members here, I am actually running a 5-year exam in 1 and a half year so you understand the need for urgency.” Muli went on.

Some of the MCAs present at the sitting promised to walk hand in hand with him to ensure he delivers his promised to the people of Kitise/Kithuki ward.

Sebastian Muli floored his opponent Joseph Kioko alias Think Tower of Muungano party by garnering 3,892 votes while Kioko garnered 878 votes in an election that was peaceful but with a low voter turn out.
