A 33-year-old man was on Tuesday morning found dead outside his house in Mwingi town, Kitui county.
The incident was confirmed by Mwingi Central Police Commander Peter Mutuma.
The Police boss said that the man identified as Joseph Kiteme who hails from the Mui area in Kitui East sub-county worked as a tout in Mwingi town and lived near the bus park.
He noted that the body of the man was found by his brother Morris Muema who alerted the police.
Mutuma said the body had no visible injuries but he was bleeding from the mouth and nose.
“He was lying facing upwards and blood was oozing from his mouth and nose. It’s not clear how he died but has been complaining of chest pains before his demise” said the Police Boss.
The cause of death has not been established but an autopsy will shed light on his death.
His body was moved to Mwingi Level 4 Hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations into the incident began.
The deceased brother, Muema told the media that Joseph was calm and friendly and he had come to take him to their rural home due to his deteriorating health before bumping into his body.
