Mercy Ndetei popularly known as ‘Mwiitu wa Ndetei Toto Kali’ has made a radio comeback after staying off the microphone for nearly 3 years.
The Makueni-born Journalist rose to fame way back in 2017 when she was on Senator Musila’s owned radio (County FM) and hosted shows like ‘Ivula ya County FM’, ‘And Musinzili’ among other shows.
She later left the radio station under unclear circumstances and was later employed at Ene FM where she worked from May, 1st 2018 to 2020. In a Facebook post, she shared on 1st August 2023, Mwiitu wa Ndetei posted a cryptic message that after three years she will be back on the air. “Leo ni Leo, after three years,” she posted.
Mauvoo News has learned that she will be joining Athiani FM to host Kitindo Kya Athiani alongside Stano Pupa Simba. She will be replacing Mercy Mawia ‘Kamuwetangi’ who recently joined Mbaitu FM.
Her fellow presenter Rachel Muthoka ‘Kaslim’ who works for Athiani FM welcomed her to the radio. “Welcome back, Toto Kali,”
Wickliffe Kyalo, Athiani FM news reporter based in Mwingi also welcomed her to the Kalonzo Musyoka’s owned radio station saying, “Welcome on board at Athiani FM, wasya witu vinya witu.”
Jacky Kim said,” Welcome back we really missed you.”
Felister Wavinya said,” God of restoration. Am happy you are back girl.
Vinny Shikuku added,” We can’t still wait, we are saying welcome back feel welcomed,, we are so happy to see you back on air,,nzeve nikwate ikaluma yu. karibuuu sana toto Kali.
