Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Kawaya has defended President William Ruto against claims that he has formed a dynasty government despite his campaign promise of a hustler-led administration.
Speaking on the matter, Kawaya dismissed the accusations, stating that he comes from a humble background yet holds a top leadership position in Ruto’s government. He argued that inclusivity should not be mistaken for a dynasty government.
“When the president seeks to form an inclusive government by reaching out to all sectors, it does not make it a dynasty government,” Kawaya asserted.
The legislator further praised President Ruto for his development efforts in Ukambani, particularly in the Mwala constituency. He claimed that Ruto has implemented more projects in the area than any previous President.
“When someone says that the president has done nothing in Ukambani, it’s not true because currently, Mwala has a lot of ongoing projects amounting to millions by President Ruto,” Kawaya said.
He highlighted an ongoing electricity project in his constituency worth Ksh 1.3 billion, stating that he could not attribute a single similar project to any of the former Presidents.
Kawaya also alleged that those criticizing the president’s development record in Ukambani are individuals whose personal expectations from the government have not been met.
