Muungano party demands from Kibwana 1.65m membership subscription arrears

The Muungano party is now demanding 1.65 membership subscription arrears from Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana. This is according to a letter dated 16th September from the party Secretary General J.M Mwaniki.

“This letter is to bring to your notice that you are owed by Muungano party monthly subscription fees amounting to 1.65 million being accrued arrears from September 2013 to March 2017.” The letter read in part.

“Article 12 (4) of Muungano party constitution stipulates that each elected Governor pays 30,000 per month while in office. Therefore the accrued money is calculated based on 54 months.” The letter added.

This comes just days after the Wiper party wrote a similar letter demanding 600,000 from the Governor and more than 1 million from his Deputy Adelina Mwau.
