Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has defended Rigathi Gachagua over his recent controversial remarks that in 2027, if elections are rigged, 2007 would look like a Christmas party.
Speaking in Tseikuru, Mutula said there is nothing wrong with the remarks and they are not an offence in Kenyan law. He further called for GEMA unity, pleading with the opposition leaders to remain united.
“Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, sleep well, there is no statement that you made that is an offence known in Kenya. Go and sleep well. GEMA is the real tyranny of numbers. If we unite, we can offer direction to the country, and we can also become an economic bloc as we do business as neighbours. Do not agree to be divided as the Genz are looking up on you to save this country.” Mutula said.

“What has happened today is historic, for a long time, this community has been neglected. We have been looking for our in-laws (the Agikuyu) and today they are here. Will you stand with Kalonzo?” Mutula added.
