Mutua threatens to fire lazy county officials in looming Cabinet reshuffle

Machakos County Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has warned members of his cabinet who are lazying around that they will face a sack in a looming cabinet reshuffle in the next 2 weeks.

The Governor spoke while leading a tree planting exercise at Kwa Nzambu Dam, Yatta sub-county in Machakos county. Mutua was accompanied by Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony, Joel Kitili from the Ministry of environment, Machakos County Commissioner Fredrick Ndunga among other leaders.

“There are some of my officers who are saying I am Going home and just lazying around. Let us see who will go home first. In the coming 2 weeks, I will do a cabinet reshuffle. ” Governor Mutua said.

Some officials came here to get tummies, good watches, and shoes and they don’t work. Theirs is just to look for money. You will go home and know 2022 is far. I don’t want jokes.” Mutua went on

Mutua thanked the council of Governors for their efforts towards protecting the environment adding that trees play an important role in human life hence the need for proper measures and responsibility of everyone will be of great importance in conserving the environment.

He further asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to give incentives that will reduce food prices, reduce the cost of electricity saying that so many people are struggling to pay bills.

Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony requested the area residents to plant more trees as well as taking care of the planted ones. He donated 50,000 seedlings to Machakos County.
