Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama Wednesday hosted hundreds of Makueni professionals at his Mua home. But before they ended the day-long meeting, Muthama put them on a surprise phone call with Deputy president Dr. William Ruto.

Ruto thanked the Makueni professionals for attending the meeting and promised them to meet them soon to chart the way forward for the community.

“I want to thank you for visiting and us and want to tell you God willing very soon we shall meet and agree. I want you to know the team you are joining hands with is the winning team in 2022.” Ruto said.

“We are God-fearing people and God will hear us. I know you have played games for many days but this time, we want to play a win, not guesswork. We are all equal before God and we need to start from the bottom. The Agenda is for the hustlers. We are together all the way.” Ruto in the call went on amidst cheers from the professionals.

The Deputy President also informed the delegation of his upcoming visit to Makueni county in early November.

While addressing the professionals Muthama said that the community has for several years missed in the decision-making table and even when the Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was joining Jubilee he was received by Murathe and not even the president as he did to Raila, Gideon Moi, and Isaac Ruto.

Muthama warned the community that there is nothing good for them in the BBI report. He had earlier vowed to lead the BBI opposing faction dismissing it as creating jobs for a few.

“In the BBI, the community is nowhere and the 5 seats that have been created you feature nowhere. Whatever you will be given you will take that. One seat will be for Raila and the prime minister to Uhuru’s people. We cannot miss seating in the table of power.” Muthama said.

He revealed that he would be working with Prof. Kivutha Kibwana to lead the community as they can even be listened to outside Ukambani unlike Kalonzo Musyoka and Alfred Mutua.
