Former Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama has intensified his calls to have Mutua Impeached. For the second time in less than a fortnight, Muthama asked MCA’s to stop complaining and that they should just impeach Mutua.He was speaking in Tala Ward, Matungulu Saturday at the funeral of Martin Mutuku Loka. Muthama was accompanied by Mavoko MP Patrick Makau and Matungulu’s Stephen Mule and other local leaders.
Muthama challenged the Kamba community to take a stand in the politics of the country and learn to support their own . “Ngei anatwie vaa nenyu, mwamunuva Athi kuthela vyu mutamsupport akatwika president, Ngei Athi uthela – Ngei was here with you and you could not support him to be president.” According to Muthama he cautioned the people before the last election about Governor Mutua that he could not lead.
“Muithi mwikie Masaku mwasye Mutua aende Nyumbani Akikataa kama ni vita mniite – go and file a motion to impeach Mutua and if he refuses call me.” he exclaimed. The first Senator of Machakos also accused a section of the media of discriminating against the region and not giving priorities to stories from the region. He also took a swipe at Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua and Makueni’s Kivutha Kibwana accusing them of creating division so as to Kill Kalonzo politically.”Watu ambao macho hawajanawa hawajui siasa inaenda wapi.” He described them.
Muthama also made a surprise remark that himself and Kalonzo helped Kibaki rig elections in the 2007 elections. He revealed that he has met Kalonzo, Musali Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula and urged them to unite but they all went their ways.Tala MCA Alex Kamitu was heckled as he tried defending the County Government of Machaks in the Funeral.
