Muthama asks Wavinya to step down and back his Gubernatorial bid

Former Machakos Senator and UDA Party chairman Johnson Muthama has asked Ex-Transport CAS Wavinya Ndeti to support his Machakos Gubernatorial bid.

Speaking at his home, Muthama said that he supported Wavinya’s bid in 2013 and she should do the same this time.

“You said I helped you when you were bereaved but forgot that I also supported your bid in 2013, I even dug into my pockets to fund you. This time only… My sister Wavinya back me up this time only,” Muthama said.

He urged Machakos residents to elect leaders who have made a contribution to the society, not mere stories noting that his every move has always been for the benefit of Kamba people.

“Ask them what they have done because when I will start going round I will ask you did they tell you what I have done for them,” Muthama went on.

“Since the time of Paul Ngei I have done what needs to be done for the community. For Kalonzo I have funded his campaigns and negotiated positions for him. But he can’t say anything that I have done for him,” He added.

Muthama spoke during the burial of his daughter Janet Nthoki at his home in Tala, Machakos county.

Other leaders who had attended the burial include Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana, his Deputy Adelina Mwau, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Machakos town MP Victor Munyaka among others.
