Museo helps stranded girl to join Muthale Girls

Carolyn Ngina Muia who sat for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) last year and was unable to report to High School can now heave a sigh of relief.

Ngina schooled at Ulilinzi Primary School in Masongaleni, Makueni County.

She scored 384 marks and was able to report to Muthale Girls High school on Monday after Makueni woman Representative Rose Museo paid her four-year fee.

The lawmaker promised to ensure the girl lacks nothing while studying.

“We are in positions of power so that we can do things like these. These people voted for me so that they can depend on me in such hard times,” said Museo.

Museo also urged the National Government to ensure Junior Secondary School is free noting that parents are being burdened.

She noted that a lot of parents were not prepared for Junior secondary and with how the challenges in the economy, everyone was facing difficulties.

Museo also revealed some students are yet to report to Junior Secondary school.

“Many students are at home because the parents can’t afford to buy most of the things requested by schools,” said Museo.
