Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka has called for peaceful and non-violent campaigns ahead of the August General elections.
Addressing mourners at Kathome Market Open Grounds in Machakos during the burial ceremony of the Shadrack Masai- Upendo wa Kwanza hitmaker Munyaka said, “We are now in the campaign season. This is the highest time we need to observe peace and security. Why should you organize a group of people to yell and make noise while someone is speaking?”
He insisted that peace and security are the only key elements in the society that turn to love and growth, calling on all sitting and aspiring politicians to practice mature campaigns with no insults
“This is not the high time to practice violence. Humbly campaign for your respective position and the electorate shall decide on who to vote in.”He added.
Munyaka asked Machakos people to re-elect him for the fourth term, saying that he is a determined, goal-minded, and visioned leader, who is always ready to serve his people.
“If I was not qualified for Machakos Town Parliamentary Seat, obviously I would have lost the second time I was running for the position. But my people saw that am worthy and they re-elected me. My work is not over, re-elect me for the fourth term.”Munyaka pleaded with his constituents.
