The Makueni County Government has announced plans for the relocation of the Mtito Andei Sub County Hospital to a new site in the town.
This significant development is part of the county’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure and services for its residents.
According to the Department of Health Services, the hospital, currently situated near the SGR railway line, will be moved to a newly constructed facility located near Taleh Hotel in Mtito Andei town. The existing hospital is scheduled to close its doors on August 18th, with the new facility set to open on August 21st.
Residents have been advised to seek medical care at nearby hospitals, including Kambu and Nthongoni Sub County Hospitals.
“During the transition period, residents are advised to seek medical services at nearby facilities in Kambu and Nthongoni Sub County Hospitals.” read the notice.
The temporary closure is aimed at ensuring a smooth transition without compromising the quality of healthcare services.
