Mavoko MP Patrick Makau is elated after his South Mugirango counterpart Sylvamus Osoro named him as the next Machakos governor.
In a video posted on Makau’s Facebook page Osoro who is speaking outside the National Assembly is heard heaping praises on his well-done job based on recent rankings.
“It is obvious, it’s not rocket science that he is next Machakos governor, so it needs one or two of you later in life to make sure you take over the dreams and aspirations that he has put in Mavoko constituency,” said Osoro while addressing students of Athi river secondary school who had visited the National Assembly.
“Secondly let me tell you that you have got the best member of parliament he is actually rated fifth nationally and best in the Ukambani region,” he added.
In 2017, Makau announced interest in the seat and stepped down for Wavinya Ndeti after talks led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

If at all he vies Makau will be among the candidates who will give Governor Wavinya who will be seeking a re-election a run for her money.
